OT- FINALLY... POLICE EXPERIENCE VIDS!!

Postby conroy on 20 Apr 2009 15:45

The show was great and the audience was a hoot. There was one chick who kept doing Riverdance-type dancing in high heels that provided endless moments of entertainment. Meg got a shout-out from the band for her Police-shirt, green shorty-shorts and rasta-inspired skater tube socks.

The band did most of the classics, including the Bed's Too Big and Bring on the Night.

Eugene and Mark were there was well. (Eugene is still here).

yeah, you know you are a loon when you get complimented on your motif by Jimbo (aka the Andy guy).

Thanks for such a fun time Mike! Looking forward to the summer gigs.

NOW, can you do a gig in West LA in August?????

how about playing an entire album from beginning to end?
best / most realistic choice would probably be 'zenyatta' in that it's right in the middle of the police canon, and there's little reliance on stuff like horns, backing tracks etc.... it's not entirely faithful to the police story as the band never played many songs live from that album, but it would be a fan-crowd pleaser..! another idea would be to try bringing some of copeland's 'derangement' arrangements to life, particularly his excellent rearrangement of 'don't stand'...

Ghost? How would you deal with the horns and keyboards?
There is no bigger gong.

Mike has lots of toys at his disposal. :) I don't doubt he could figure it out.

Entire albums would definitely bring out the faithful.

Did you say next Hermosa gig? Do we have to buy frequent flyer cards then?
