OT: Tornado near Nashville; please check in Dive!

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 12 Apr 2009 20:16

Well, the frightening thing is, they had been showing the little icon that means 'extreme chance of tornado' over this particular cell for a while before it hit Murf. At one point it was even closer to my house....yikes.

And! New storm warnings for tomorrow night. Sigh. They're not expected to be bad, but that's what they said last week....

Good thoughts continue to be appreciated, all.

Plenty of good thoughts being sent your way.

May those thoughts be the only things coming to you from the air tonight. :)

Thanks kids!! I think the wellwishes are what's keeping me out of Ground Zero at the moment...

We've got the all-clear for today. Woohoo! It's actually really nice out right now, and wouldn't you know it - I've gotta finish the taxes...sigh

:o Dive, glad to hear of y'all's safety!! We have hurricanes back home in VA, some sort of warnings w/ those. But here in Ohio, those funnels just drop on out of the sky. The paths are split north & south of the city, but when the sirens go off, yep heart in throat! The natives here don't notice tho'.......
A good reason to keep the battery radio and a good headlamp at hand during these things. Oh and a hardhat
