Humm someone we would mock you for.... Madona, Annie Lennox?[/quote]

None of the above (even if Kim Gordon is like "lukewarm"...At least they know each other well). 8)

interesting, but how do they actually know what the babys "emotion" is doing at a particular instance?

couldnt it just be a particular pitch that musicians with a trained ear can pick up that the non musicians cant?

Honestly, I've not heard any music or comment from the lady for years. In terms of stereotyping, it just seemed like she was her own worst enemy for a while back there - for all that press and others were trying to turn her into a car crash anyway.

She has a double album in the making and most of the songs are quite known to the diehards. Very good stuff, to confirm the exis notion that suffering almost always produces great forms of expression.

But anyway, back to topic, that quote always stroke me as so "right on" on what attracts people to artists in general.

My experience

Postby giovanni on 08 Mar 2009 20:55

I can tell you my personal experience...
Many of you saw me in person...I'm absolutely NOT the handsome guy of the cover magazines, I'm absolutely NOT the one that when a girl passes by she turns to see me or she look at me with a certain look, I'm absolutely NOT the guy who got the doors open just because of his beauty or that particular blue eye...

but...

when I'm on stage it seems like all of these things happens all together in one time! Trust me...but why?
Sincerely, I don't know. It's all about being on stage...as some of you said, it's like being up there instead of being down there; some friends said it's because I play the bass, that is a fascinating instrument.
Personally I can say that there are a few 'tricks' to capture the public, and usually they works; I remember being at one of the main festivals I played, one of the biggest music tv show in Italy: at a certain point I looked at a few girls in the crowd and I simply let them understood that I saw them, looking them straight in the eye...it turned into a mess...they couldn't stop looking at me, shouting, and everytime I crossed their look...well, they were even more 'blessed', you know what I mean....but I do repeat...I AM NOT THAT TYPICAL GOOD LOOKING GUY THAT MIGHT IMPRESS A GIRL, ABSOLUTELY NOT...but what can I do? Sometimes people hires me on stage as they say I can impress a crowd.

On my side, I love being on stage, and the more lights and cameras and tv's are there, the more I 'play the role'; it's a natural thing, don't ask me why.

Anyway, in my case...it's definitely easy to have sex aftershow.

You are actually pretty cute, Gio. But yeah there is something about a guy up on stage... attractive on stage, not always off.

I dunno, I STILL think it was-and is-my Dad's piercing blue eyes. And Mom still makes 'TMI' comments about his legs-geesh!

Inre: children with language disorders - it's very well known that autistic, especially profoundly autistic ones, respond intensely to music. they can follow directions sung to them that they can't (or won't) otherwise, and they will often engage in "conversations" if all is sung.

Heh. FWIW, ADHD is sort of a "kissing cousin" to bipolar, in terms of brain chemistry - and a lot of people who have it tend to be more creative & intelligent in general. Maybe it's nature's way to make up for never knowing where in hell you put your car keys and flunking subjects in school b/c you forgot what day the damn test was. Not that any of that ever happened to me, of course. ;)

On the 'musician' subject...I just realized that's the single thing every guy I've ever dated had in common. EVERY guy. Some sort of musical proclivity. Guess it snapped into place when I looked over and saw Mr. Dive playing with some synth toys he bought recently.

Gio, something tells me you don't need music to get girls! Anyone who's told you you're not good looking is blind! Hey, I'm just saying :)
