Sorry to hear this, Dive. If you can stomach it, both raw onions (fresh chopped) AND raw fresh garlic have great anti-microbial properties, ingested and on a cut abrasion. The Brits used raw fresh chopped garlic pre-penicillan in the awful WW 1 wounds their boys received, even to stop gangrene! I have used fresh garlic swallowed w/ LOTS of warm H2O, and bioactive plain yoghurtduring food poisoning, worked well w/ healing more quickly afterwards.
