For me it was also the next day, watching on my computer at work the Whiskey press conference and just   :D :D that my wait of almost twenty four years to see them again was going to be over. Because I knew right then and there that there would be no way I would miss seeing them. Little did I know that I would end up seeing them three times, in three cities, two states, have tenth row seats, meet Andy again, worship a green flag, sign a flag, become a nutter etc......... :)
Oh my. Nailed in a paragraph. :-)

Was anyone else a wee bit - erm - terrified at the time that maybe it would be a disaster? It sounds terribly self indulgent (mostly because it IS terribly self indulgent), but I think I may have had stage fright by proxy before the first gig reports came in. And I was literally sick with nerves for a few days before the first gig I went to. Idiotic in retrospect.....or just plain old idiotic.

I was nervous even at my second gig. June ’07 Anaheim, CA about 35 miles south of where I live. Even though I saw them the week before in Vegas and knew there was not going to be a disaster, I was nerves all day. Partly it may have been excitement because I won tenth row tickets in the Best Buy online contest.
Still was unable to really eat much of anything the whole day but pounded beers in an effort to calm myself. Probably not the best idea, but Mrs. Throb drove. She couldn’t understand why I ran out of the arena at the end of the show without waiting for her. I had to explain later that (a)I needed to lean against a solid wall and (b) get fresh air, she was actually very understanding, of course you should see her at a Bruce show or a McCartney show. Fortunately I did not pass out and fall into the seats during Next To You, I think I had help standing upright from a kind Anaheim Pond security guy but the memory is a bit hazy at that point. Nothing was idiotic in our behavior it was just pure joy!
Such pure joy, it took me three days to recover(not the best idea to go to work the next day)
Have we got touchdown
