It's funny how most of us all think alike regarding this- just goes to show we're all in the right place huh? :D

I totally wouldn't join Sting's little club either just for a *chance* at better tickets. I've never seen them live, even though my Dad's Cousin was a backup singer for the Synchronicity tour and my parents got to go backstage!! I was only 5 at the time, but still. I've never seen them, always dreamed I would, always dreamed they'd get back together just for me to get a glimpse. Never thought it would happen. I am more than happy to get that glimpse and it looks as if it may actually come true.

As awesome as it would be to get up front and have incredible seats, just to get to hear them in a live situation will be an incredible dream come true- for all of us! :D

FYI, Anyone who joins Stink.com now for tickets is SOL. You have to be a member for at least a year to even get a chance at pre-sales. This is done purposely to thwart scalpers. Suckers! I've been a member for almost a year so I hope any pre-sales happen after my anniversary date! I debated the pros and cons for quite a while before joining, but now I'm glad I did, just in case. This is when it sucks that there hasn't been an official Police site, because the powers that be might not know where to get the "list" from. If they talk to Gio, hopefully he'll hook us all up. :-P

As far as Craig goes, he was at one point in the running for his site to be the official one, but it's looking now like that will not be the case.

Gio, please keep us posted. :)

Kim... you payed? Ahh.

I was suposed to get a free couple month membership, per ticket ... but I tried and it never worked, then I lost intrest, I only wanted it because it was free.
or even pay ticketmaster offical auction prices to get prime seats (I've done that before for shows I desperately wanted to get good seats for, and it was still cheaper than going to a ticket agent.)
There are offical auctions at ticketmaster? I've only ever delt with ebay.
“...and er, did anyone try just pushing this little red button?”

The only downside is that those auctions might be $$$$$$$$$. For real...think how many people just like us are all geeked out to see the Police.

Which is why I'm seriously thinking that I'm going to fly to wherever I have the best shot at decent seats and in the smallest venue. I wonder if they'll play any second-tier cities like Columbus or St. Louis, or if it'll all be Boston, Philly, Atlanta, Chicago, NYC, where there'll be ferocious competition for tickets.
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Yeah, I paid, after debating for a long time about it, and I still wasn't happy about it. The only reason I did it was for a chance at pre-sales and a crack at the contests they have. Most of the "exclusive" content isn't that great. They do have decent news and announcements though.

The only upside to having it be a paid site is at least it keeps idiots from logging in as several people and having fake conversations with themselves, lol. People who pay are serious, not interested in hacking boards and trolling. Yes, I'm sure scalpers join for tickets but if they get caught selling them on ebay Dave & Wendy string them up.

And I only paid for the basic membership, not the higher priced one.
