Stewart Copeland's Orchestralli Press Conference
Here is a short report about the Press Conference that was held in Milan on November 8th, at Golden Tulip Hotel:

THE POLICE
I can confirm we will play in New York in March; IT'S CONFIRMED and I'm very happy for that!
There are no other plans... but... I'm working on it...
They wanted us to perform three songs... but let me tell you... just wait... we wanna do a lot more!!!!

AFRICA
Stewart talked a lot about his journey in Africa, telling he was jailed and on that night he discovered some cool music on the national radio; that night gave the sense to all the trip to Africa back in 1985.

STEWART COPELAND'S ORCHESTRALLI

I love the way you Italian say the word 'Orchestrali', that's why I called the project this way.
There is a percussive ensemble from UK and the orchestra is Italian. I'll play stuff from 'Rumblefish', 'The Equalizer' and some other ballet music I did for the Oklahoma Company.

JAZZ
My father forced me to listen to jazz, and at the end I couldn't stand anymore! It's not that I hate jazz, but everything that you are forced to becomes a little frustrating.

SOUNDTRACKS
I'm working on a couple of tracks: 'I AM DAVE' and 'DEAD LIKE ME'.

STING
When I met him he was a jazz musician; he remained a jazz musician and he is still a jazz musician; I just tought him how to make a punk song, then he came up with great songs, but he never gave up being a jazz musician, that's where his mind has always been. And it's obvious that his direction after the Police would lead him to play jazzy stuff again.

DERANGEMENTS
Andy was absolutely happy to listen to this stuff, but Sting was a little bit 'cold' about it, even though he liked part of the stuff. I'm working on putting them into 'remastered' Police albums and put them as extra tracks.

OYSTERHEAD
For sure we will work on some more stuff! I really enjoyed that work so much! Trey Anastasio and Les Claypool are CRAZY! Real crazy guys!

THE DOORS
I am a fan of the Doors! It's a great chance to play with Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger; we are talking about new stuff but I'm really happy to seat at the drumset and play the classics! If there will be some new songs, ok, fine, I'll play them, but that's not why I am in.
