Set Them 3--a fab new Police documentary--NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Hear ye, Hear ye!

I am crazy-excited and proud to announce that Gert-Peter Bruch -- French filmmaker, journalist, musician, long-time Police fan, and all-around adorable guy -- has just launched a new section on his website detailing his forthcoming documentary on the early history of The Police, "Set Them 3...: The Police Investigation." Check out the site, a working trailer for the film, and information on the accompanying illustrated biography here:

http://www.gertonline.com/gpbruch/polic ... index.html

Gert has put an insane amount of work into this film, gathering from all over the world rare and never-before-seen photos and footage and interviews with just about every key player in the history of the band that is still breathing: Henry Padovani, Eberhard Schoener, Mike Howlett, Nigel Gray, Hugh Padgham, Lawrence Impey, Phil Sutcliffe, Sonja Kristina, plus Jean-Pierre Dutilleux, Fiction Plane, our own beloveds Giovanni and Dietmar (and quite possibly some other nutters as well) -- just to name a few!

And last but certainly not least -- you guys are going to love this part -- this new documentary features STEWART in all his STEWARTNESS. (Hi, Stewart.) The film highlights young brunette/blond Stewart's role and importance to the success of the band, and modern-day silver Stewart serves as a kind of guide through the journey of the film as it relates the history of The Police.

(Yes, FINALLY, a Police documentary that talks about The Other Guys.)

But while Gert puts the finishing touches on the film, he needs your help. In order to get worldwide distribution, he would like to be able to show to producers that there is an audience out there for this film. All you need to do is sign his Guest Book:

http://www.gertonline.com/gpbruch/polic ... /index.php

Sign early, sign often, but please sign and say nice things about your interest in this documentary. With enough positive signatures collected, Gert can point producers to the Guest Book as a sampling of the kind of support and audience this documentary will find.

Gert made this film with fans in mind -- in no small part because he is one himself. Now it's up to the fans to help get this labor of love out there for all the world to see. Please help spread the Police Love; help spread the Stewart Love; help spread the word; and help get this documentary out into the world at last.

So go check out the trailer, sign the Guest Book, and be sure to roll over all the different bits of art on the site -- including some of the door rivets, where you might just see a couple of familiar names in the credits.

Thank you, everyone!

(Yay, Gert!)

Was I the only one who had a lot of trouble watching the trailer? What I saw looks GREAT, but it didn't play smoothly for me.

Did anyone else find their heart-rate racing watching that?! He's really captured the sense of excitement that the Police give me in that little trailer... imagine what a whole film could do!
